St.
Dominic Parish
New
Orleans, Louisiana
"Come to me
all of you who are weary
and find life
burdensome and I will refresh you"
(Mt 11:28)
St.
Dominic Parish invites all parishioners to commit one hour a week with Jesus truly present in
the Blessed Sacrament. This means that the Blessed Sacrament is exposed and the
Chapel is available to us for quiet prayer whenever we need it. The
current pace of life in the 21st century is sometime too much for many of us to
handle. As we rush from one task to the next we often lose sight of what
is really important in our lives. Many of us don't take time to pray and
may even feel like we don't know how to pray. We can let Jesus teach us
how to pray by spending a quiet hour in His Eucharistic presence. One
young mother of three who recently began spending time with Jesus in Eucharistic
Adoration shared the following thoughts; "I have never experienced anything
like Eucharistic Adoration in my lifetime. I truly feel the presence of
God while I am there. It has taught me how to pray and given me a place to
go with God when I can't cope with life. The time I have gone I was truly
overwhelmed with God's love. It has changed my relationship with God
forever."

Our Adoration Chapel is in Aquinas Hall.
Our current weekly adoration hours are:
The Chapel opens on Sundays, at 12:00 Noon,
and remains open throughout the week until closing on Fridays, at 11:00 PM.
Saturdays the Chapel opens at 5:00 AM, and
closes at 5:00 PM.
(On weekdays we normally
close the chapel from 8:20 AM to 9:00 AM, to allow adorers to attend Mass in church.)
All are welcome to come and adore Him during any of these
hours. The schedule will continue to
expand as people commit to additional hours. Please let us know if you are able
to commit to an hour a week. You may contact us at:
